The Minority Women’s Forum in Iraq was established in 2018, where we launched the "Women's Peace Teams" in partnership with the Peaceful Coexistence Committee at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Non-Governmental Organizations Department. The initiative was implemented in the governorates of Nineveh, Anbar, Salah al-Din, Diyala, and Sinjar.
The Minorities Women's Forum in Iraq aims to enhance the active participation and equality of women from minority groups in all fields. This is achieved by raising awareness about their issues, empowering them to take on leadership roles, and enabling their contribution to decision-making processes, ultimately driving positive change in society.
In 2020, we obtained official licensing and registered with the NGO Department under the registration number (1O2001001) as an independent, non-governmental civil society organization.
